Im Back…

OK gang, Ive returned after a hiatus to live my life. Here’s whats going on with things:

A) The internet show is coming back, hopefully by the end of the summer. But, I’m going to be doing 13 eps. per series, with breaks and holiday specials, as it allows me to balance life, career and personal scene accordingly. Also, the show is going to be alot cleaner, as the original 5 eps were pretty much me foul-mouth ranting about things. Rants dont equal listeners, if I rant, it’ll be a constructive criticism, not a bitch session.

B) Im currently deciding at putting a webisode angle to the show, like weekly 2-3 min opinion segments on everything from politics to religion to what I ate for dinner.

C) Im also looking for a domain/hosting for the show w/ a iTunes feed, as BTR didnt match up with what I wanted in audio quality…

Anywho, thats what we have going on at present.

Ive come to a decision…

Hey all

The past couple of weeks have been trying times for me as a host. I know, im new behind the mic and I can only count my weekly listeners on one hand, not to mention the issues after last weeks serious debacules with BTRs tools(clear cookies my cracker ass, its badly designed code), add to the fact Ive been feeling like a true outsider for the first time in a really long time, as I dont know many people or had the opportunity to get to listen to some of your shows live due to RL commitments (I have a job outside of this) . While im not normally a quitter, I certainly felt like doing that this week. So, after numerous cups of coffee, a few smokes and countless trips to the john, I came to a decision:

Im Staying….(cue battle hymn of the republic)

Thats right folks, im not letting the lack of live listeners,cliques/clans or broken technology push me out of the way or keep me down. Im going to stay here and do my brand of show, be it you listen live(preferred) or in podcast. I know some of your folks have things to do during the time of my show (pick your nose, catalog your tax returns, sleep), but id appreciate you giving my show chance and also giving me feedback, not to mention adding me as a favorite. That way, you can track what or whom im going to have on the show….

For the loyal listeners(as I see I get a few listens during the week): I appreciate your time and ask you invite your neighbors and friends to the (live/prerecorded)festivities, your dedication will be most certainly rewarded…

One last note: Im getting a co-host. Ive narrowed it down to a final candidate who will be joining the show in a couple of weeks.

Thinking about calling it quits…

After this weeks show..and not having anyone turn out (save felix and an anon, thanks btw), im thinking about hanging up the towel and doing something else. I mean, why do something when noone seems to give you the time of day or would rather hang out with someone else because they’re in “the clique”, eventhough I also listen to their programs. Maybe its the fact I dont have anything of substance to say, lack of pure talent or both…I just havent been feeling like I matter much on here as of late anyways. For the folks who have been great (olivia wilder/A&B), I appreciate the rapport and politeness you extended me….But I dont think I fit in here to be honest.

Im going to give it the week and then decide if i’ll leave….

First off, for the folks who have listened, thank you, I appreciate you listening to my drolling on about topics that you may or may not have any interest in.  I will say one thing: Im going to be changing things up as this weeks program ended up being what some folks have described as a “rant”. I will agree it did come off like that, but I also feel I had to do it, as its something I needed to get out there. It was alot like going to a shrink or priest:you get it off your chest, you get feedback and then you either pay or say a few hail marys to get things resolved, That what this weeks show was for me: Closure and resoultion.

That being said, we’re going to tighten up the focus of the show and get back to doing what we do best: Film/tv reviews and criticism(the good kind ). Also, im thinking about bring in a couple of co-hosts, as this show needs some well-injected good humor and livelyness. Im also considering moving up the time of air to 6p east/3p west on saturdays, as the 4p east slot isnt getting many listeners.

Again, thank you guys for listening and e-mailing us with your comments, criticisms and compliments.

First Show In The Can…

Got my first show in the can and I can only say im relieved. Seeing we had issues with the BlogTalkRadio site yesterday afternoon (as quite a few folks did), I can say that I was able to get the show back up and completed accordingly. Danger Report Is Go!

Just wanted to update the blog,  the internet radio component for the blog (The Danger Report!) Begins tomorrow at 4e/1p. Lone Star Towing Strikes Again…

Once again, the thugs that are Lone Star Towing Co. have struck again, this time around Fair Park at the Texas/OU game. Countless parties had their cars illegally towed and held by this company, who has already been investigated over “administration” charges that have been deemed illegal.  Most, if not all, of the parties who had their car towed didnt know the properties were no parking area or saw any signs indicating as such (which is a big problem here in Dallas).   While I normally dont have alot of sympathy for folks who dont park their cars in the Fair Park lots, this time I do. This “company” has been in the business of predatory towing for years and has never been properly punished. I have a feeling the collective forces of UT/OU fans will be making their voices heard and hopefully will be contacting the city to raise hell come monday…

How to make fast enemies at 4:30am

Ya got to love drunk argurment, especially when it involves two lover at 4:30 am on an early sunday morning. Case in point:  The Nag Bitch On/Off GF vs. The Near 30 Druken Fratboy Bartenter. While these fights have been quite amusing in the past, varying in topic between lack of appreciation to stalin-era russian vodka quality to how one of the parties thought they were going to have an f’in baby. Usually these are settled by an agreement to disagree, then having copious amounts of make up sex, usually with alot of loud noises, which has been reported to me by their roommate. Last night, it went over the line.

Around half past four, these two combative decided to bitch n’ moan again about some generic topic, slurring while yelling like braying asses released from their barn. Then, without warning, the fire alarms went off. Our building has the setup where we have bezzels, chirping alams and lights going off like some sort of fire alert dance club, I was half expecting a DJ in a booth behind two technic sl 1200’s with a mixer, while a obnoxiously hot waitress (acutally role for the nag in real life) comes to take my SoCo and Coke order, which would’ve been mixed by the fratboy bartender. Anywho, as I went down to investigate, as my mrs. decided to stay in bed and listen to the chirping of the fire alarm,  I found some asshole pulled the fire alarm. While I didnt see who did it, I have a good idea of the suspects.

As the Dallas-Fire Rescue team arrived(who, btw, I have the upmost respect for), along with the management, to turn off the bezeled aural nightmare around 35 mins later. I began to question who would do something so brazen and criminal (pulling a false fire alarm is a criminal offense). I decided instead of going down and beating on the drunken frathouse door that is my neighbors close to 3000 sq. ft property downstairs for answers, I would do it this way: If you can find me the name and person who did this, I might be up to offering a small cash reward upon the capture and prosecution of this jackass. You can and will remain anonmyous, so no fears of reprisal in this situation. think about it, and drop me a line here.
